Spa Bellagio (Las Vegas)
The Spa Bellagio in Las Vegas
In Vegas for a conference, what else is new? So naturally it was time for some spa time. The Bellagio Casino is actually known for its Italian inspiration, but the Spa is surprisingly eclectic with a blend of treatments from other cultures. A scroll through the services menu, shows:
- Balinese Massage
- Ayurvedic Massage
- Polynesian Massage
Trust me they have regular massages as well, but they do feature these Asian and Pacific influences. Of course if you want the full details of my spa visits in Bali, you can check out both Prana Spa and Chill Reflexology here. And if you want to know more about Ayurveda treatments you can read about that here.
Spa Bellagio
But back to the Bellagio. What really intrigued me and caught my eye was the Watsu treatment. Now I love Watsu, and have written about in my other blogs. However, I have previously only found it offered at destination spas such as Mii Amo in Sedona, Arizona, Miraval in Tucson Arizona, and at Pura Vida in Costa Rica. So I did find it surprising that a spa in Vegas would have Watsu. So I knew I had to try this at the Bellagio Spa. My absolute nirvana combination is a Watsu treatment followed by a massage. It is just the ultimate bliss and relaxation.
Unfortunately, during my visit the therapy pool they use was under maintenance, so there was no way I could book a Watsu treatment there. So, I just need to put that on the list for another trip back to Vegas.
As for the Bellagio Spa, the spa has a nice locker room area. It can be crowded if there are a lot of people in the mix, but all in all there is enough space to sort of move around, especially at off-peak times. From the locker room you can enter the single-sex water treatment areas. This is a nicely appoint whirlpool area. These are enjoyable, but in my opinion there is very limited seating if you wanted to spend any amount of time here.
What I Loved About The Spa
The Bellagio is a great spa choice in Las Vegas. The facilities and waiting areas are pleasing. The therapists are all highly talented and very pleasant. The Spa Menu offers plenty of different offerings including, some as I mentioned, hydrotherapy services like Watsu. They have different offerings with an eclectic blend of influences around the world. If you want a spa service while staying at the Bellagio, then this is a great choice.
What I Didn’t Like
To be honest, I don’t find Spa Bellagio really conducive to spending a lot of downtime at the spa. As I mentioned, the water therapy areas, don’t have enough comfortable seating to relax. And the waiting areas too, they have plenty of seating, but not again enough lounge chairs where you can just pass some time relaxing.
Overall
So my take is that if you are staying at the Bellagio, and you want a spa service, and you just want to take a little time for that and get right back to your Vegas fun, then I think this is the perfect spa for you. You have the convenience of visiting the spa in the casino. The therapists are lovely and highly skilled. And they have a large selection of services to choose from. The spa is really suited to coming in for a treatment and then getting right back to your Vegas fun. This spa would also be great for a spa visit as part of a bachelorette weekend.
However, if you really want some down time and spend a little more time relaxing and enjoying the facilities, then I think some other spas in Vegas, such as Mandalay Bay and the Waldorf Astoria or Canyon Ranch would be for you.
